E. Warren Colehower Endowed Chair in Information Networking and Telecommunications

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Drexel University (http://www.ece.drexel.edu) invites applications and nominations for the E. Warren Colehower Endowed Chair Professorship in Information Assurance and Networking. Candidates must be well-established researchers and internationally recognized leaders in one or more of the growing areas of Information Assurance and Networking, including computer networks and systems; mobile and wireless systems; information assurance, cyber security, and counter-crime measures; switching and routing. Outstanding candidates with expertise in information technology applications to health care and related areas are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should be eminent professionals with a significant track record in academia and/or industry supervising major research operations and executing independent externally funded research projects.

The Colehower Chair Professor is expected to exercise strong leadership in creating, expanding and nurturing research programs and centers, mentoring junior faculty, supervising graduate students, developing and coordinating major research proposals, generating and maintaining a large-scale research operation through external funding, and representing the university in its relations with major research funding agencies, industry and government.

Tenure-Track Computer Engineering Positions

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Drexel University is seeking outstanding candidates at any rank in all areas of computer engineering for tenure-track positions. Areas of special emphasis include high-performance computing, bio-informatics, computer and network security, embedded systems and multimedia. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science with outstanding academic credentials that clearly demonstrate their ability to conduct independent and successful research in their areas of expertise and develop a graduate research program leading to peer-reviewed publications and external funding. Candidates must have excellent communication skills with a commitment to engage in highquality undergraduate and graduate education in areas of computer engineering. The ECE department offers both undergraduate and graduate programs in computer engineering with several areas of specialization including computer networks, computer architecture, computer-aided design, VLSI systems and operating systems (see http://www.ece.drexel.edu). The department also has a very active PhD program with many outstanding students enrolled in it.
